On 7 May 2019, the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research and the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology hosted the “Health Security Roundtable” discussion with representatives from Ministry of Health (GDPM and VAMS), research institutes (George Institute, NIHE, HMU, UPM, NIN), national hospitals (Cho Ray, Bach Mai hospitals) as well as international organisations (WHO, CDC, PATH, FAO, CIRAD, and HAIVN).
At the workshop, 60 human and animal health researchers and programmers shared updated information on antimicrobial resistance and the outbreak of infectious diseases, identified the gaps and discussed possible solutions.
